출판사서평

전후 일본(前後日本)은 통제적 문화정책에 대한 반성과 탈 일본문화라는 큰 틀에서 문화국가를 건설하여 희망을 주는 새로운 일본을 갈구했다. 문화국가를 구축하기 위해 초석이 되는 문화관련법, 문화주체, 문화자산, 문화내용 등 문화 인프라는 엉성했지만 문화정책 모델로 구체화되어 진일보하였다. 호류지 금담벽화(法隆寺 金堂壁?)가 소실되면서 문화재보호법과 문화담당기관이 생겼고, 고도경제성장을 하면서 문화의 소중함을 실감하였다. 지방시대(地方時代)가 주창되면서 문화행정과 마을 만들기로 지역을 활성화하였고, 문화시대(文化時代)를 지향하면서 문화의 신분을 상승시켜 문화 창조와 문화입국(文化立國)을 선언하였다. 문화예술의 현실적 역할과 미래적 가치를 인식하면서 문화예술립국(文化藝術立國)을 국가과제로 상정하였다. 일본 문화정책의 궁극적인 목적은 문화 창생을 통해 국가와 지방이 번영하고 국민이 일생동안 행복한 삶을 영위하도록 하는데 있다. 이 책은 문화대국으로 가는 통로와 길목을 세밀하게 분석하고 소개하면서 새로운 문화정책의 희망로드맵을 제시하고 있다.

저자소개

구견서

일본 東京大에서 사회학박사를 받고 현재 평택대학교 교수로 재직하고 있다. 저서로는 『현대일본사회론』(1999), 『현대일본문화론』(2000), 『일본 知識人의 사상』(2001), 『현대일본사회의 이해』(2001), 『일본문화총서』(2003, 공저), 『일본민족주의사』(2004), 『일본영화와 시대성』(2007), 『일본애니메이션과 사상』(2011), 『나, 사랑, 세상을 피우고』(2011, 시집), 『일본연구의 성과와 과제』(2013, 공저), 『국가의 희생』(2013), 『유토피아사회』(2015), 『21세기 일본』(2016) 등이 있다
